Reconcile bank statements with invoices automatically.
Upload a bank statement as PDF or CSV and Tailride matches each transaction to an invoice in your workspace. See what's still missing, let Tailride fetch it from supplier portals, and export the result as CSV.

Why Choose Tailride for Reconciliation?
Built on the invoices Tailride already collects for you
Automatic Matching
Each transaction is matched by amount, date, vendor name and email or website domain, and by invoice, PO or payment references found in the bank description.
Missing invoices, requested for you
Payments without an invoice are listed to resolve. For suppliers with a supported portal, the desktop app or browser extension fetches the invoice for that payment.
Multi-Currency Support
Payments in another currency are converted at the exchange rate of the transaction date and matched within a 2% tolerance.
Review in seconds
Every match shows a confidence score and its reasons. Unmatch anything, match by hand from a side panel that ranks exact amounts first, or mark a payment as needing no invoice.
One credit per statement
A statement costs one credit, however many transactions it has. Rematching after new invoices arrive is free.
CSV export for your accountant
Export missing, matched or all rows as CSV, with a share link to each matched invoice.
How Reconciliation Works
From statement to reconciled month in six steps
Upload a statement
Drop a PDF or CSV from any bank — up to 10 MB, PDFs up to 20 pages. It costs one credit.
Your invoices are ready
Tailride matches against everything already in your workspace: invoices from mailboxes, portals, folders and uploads.
Automatic matching
Amount, date, vendor and references are scored for every transaction; each payment and each invoice is paired once.
Review
Check the confidence on each match, unmatch what's wrong and match the rest by hand.
Resolve what's missing
Mark payments that need no invoice, and let invoice requests fetch the rest from supplier portals.
Export
Download the missing, matched or full list as CSV, or mark all matched invoices as paid.
Supported statement files
Any bank, as long as you can export the statement as PDF or CSV
PDF statements
Text or scanned PDFs from any bank, read by AI — no bank templates. Up to 20 pages and 10 MB; password-protected files need the password removed first.
CSV exports
Any bank's CSV: columns are recognised automatically, extra rows above the header are skipped and card sign conventions are worked out.
Other formats
OFX, MT940, BAI2 and Excel files aren't supported. Most banks offer a PDF or CSV export of the same statement — use that instead.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about AI reconciliation
How does AI reconciliation work?
Tailride scores every transaction against your invoices. The amount has to match — to the cent in the same currency, within 2% across currencies — and a vendor name or domain match, a reference such as an invoice or PO number in the bank description, or a close date confirms it. Each payment and each invoice is paired at most once, and every match shows its confidence.
Which bank statement formats are supported?
PDF statements from any bank, including scanned ones, and CSV exports, up to 10 MB (PDFs up to 20 pages). OFX, MT940, BAI2 and Excel files aren't supported — export your statement as PDF or CSV instead. Password-protected PDFs need the password removed first.
Can it handle multiple currencies?
Yes. A payment in another currency is converted at the exchange rate of the transaction date and matched when it lands within 2% of the invoice total.
What happens with transactions that don't match?
They stay under To resolve. Match them by hand from a side panel that lists invoices around the payment date, mark them as needing no invoice, or let Tailride request the invoice: for suppliers with a supported portal, the desktop app or browser extension fetches it, and it is matched automatically when it arrives.
How accurate is the automatic matching?
Every match shows a confidence score with the reasons behind it — green from 90%, yellow from 70% — and pairs below 55% are never matched automatically. Anything wrong can be unmatched in one click.
Can I set custom matching rules?
Not yet. Matching follows fixed rules — the amount, a date within 90 days, the vendor and references — that you can't change. When a match is wrong, unmatch it and pick the right invoice by hand; your choice is kept for that statement, but it doesn't change future matching.
How long does reconciliation take?
The statement is read and matched as soon as you upload it, and opens in your dashboard when it's done. Rematching later, after new invoices have arrived, is free.
Can I export the reconciliation?
Yes, as CSV: missing, matched or all rows, with status, direction, description, amount, currency, date, the matched invoice's file name and a share link to it. You can also download the original statement and mark all matched invoices as paid.
Does it reconcile money coming in as well?
Yes. Statements are read in both directions. Incoming payments appear in green under the In filter and are matched against the documents in your workspace just like expenses — useful for supplier refunds and credit notes. Marking a payment as needing no invoice is only offered for money going out.
