Lives in the top bar
Closing the window doesn't quit the app. The top-bar icon shows the next scheduled run; turn "Start at login" on in Settings.
A .deb package for Ubuntu and Debian, and an AppImage for other distributions. The app sits in the top bar, collects invoices on the schedule you choose, and keeps your logins in your desktop's keyring.
Looks like you're on Linux. The download is a .deb file — free, and you can install it before you sign in. Not on Ubuntu or Debian? Get the AppImage
Version 1.2.2 · What's new
It is for 64-bit Intel and AMD computers (amd64).
Open it with your software center, or run sudo apt install ./tailride_*_amd64.deb in the folder you saved it to. It asks for your password once.
Open Tailride from your applications. It opens tailride.so in your browser to sign you in, and the app then appears in the top bar.
A short setup confirms your schedule and how far back to go, then opens the list of portals.
Use the AppImage: make it executable (chmod +x Tailride-*.AppImage, or Properties → Allow executing) and run it — there is nothing to install. On Ubuntu 24.04 and later, use the .deb instead: Ubuntu blocks the AppImage's security sandbox, and the .deb sets up what the app needs.
Saved portal passwords are encrypted with a key from GNOME Keyring or KWallet. Without either, Tailride does not save passwords and asks you to sign in to each supplier yourself.

Portal passwords and authenticator keys are encrypted with a key from GNOME Keyring or KWallet, unlocked with your login — no one else on the computer can read them.
Every invoice goes to your Tailride account and is also saved in ~/Downloads/Tailride, sorted by supplier. Pick a different folder in Settings.
Tailride checks for new versions on its own. You can turn this off in Settings.
Install Proton Mail Bridge for Linux, then add Proton Mail as a supplier in Tailride.
Remove it with your software center or sudo apt remove tailride. To remove your data too, use Settings → Advanced → Delete data first. Your invoice PDFs in Downloads are kept.
The .deb on Ubuntu and Debian: it installs like any other app and sets up what Ubuntu needs to run it securely. The AppImage on other distributions, or where you can't install packages.

No. Tailride also works on KDE and other desktops. To save portal passwords it needs a keyring — GNOME Keyring or KWallet. Without one, you sign in to each supplier yourself.
In your Tailride account, and in ~/Downloads/Tailride on this computer, sorted by supplier and account.
