Receipts read. Data passed on.
Clariable already had an accounting system. Tailride reads the receipts and sends the data to Google Sheets. A script built by its founder, Mario Luna, takes it from there.
The Challenge
Different receipt formats. The same manual copying.
Receipts landed in Mario's inbox in whatever format each vendor used. He had to open them one by one and copy the numbers into Clariable's books.
He didn't need another accounting system. He needed a tool that could read receipts and pass the data to the one he already used.
The Workflow
From the inbox to the tools he already uses.
Mario's mail client automatically forwards receipts to Tailride, which extracts the data into a Google Sheet.
Every hour, his own script picks up that data, posts the transactions to his budgeting tool and files them in his invoicing system. It also attaches the original PDF to the right record.
What the script does next
- Posts the transaction to the budgeting tool
- Files it with the invoicing system
- Attaches the original PDF to the right record
The Result
In the books within an hour.
Recorded automatically
Receipts that reach Tailride are added to Clariable's books by the hourly script, without anyone reading and copying the numbers along the way.
No manual number entry
Mario hasn't typed a number from those receipts since July. He checks and approves the figures instead.
No new accounting system
Tailride extracts the receipt data. Mario's script sends it to the budgeting and invoicing tools he already uses.
The one-hour turnaround reflects Clariable's setup, including automatic forwarding, Tailride's extraction and its custom hourly script.
